Well lets begin where this all started, originally I was born in Tempe, AZ in march of '88. The oldest memories I have of ever seeing marijuana was when my dad would take me into his green house where he was growing "tomatoes." Later found out those weren''t tomatoes. Around 98 my folks decided it was time for a change so we packed up and moved to the great state of Washington in a city called Tukwila. My dad always did a pretty good job of hiding it from my younger brother and I. But as you get older, certain temptations that you're curious about come around, and the first for me was Marijuana.
I remember the first time i ever smoked weed, nervous and scared as hell 'cause I was always told this will make me fat and lazy and not have a job, and everyone's favorite "gateway drug." Kill that noise. My mind was thinking in ways I never felt before, after that first hit I was feeling like my lungs were gonna fall apart! It was some fire. The happiness and giggles and just free feeling that it made me feel was how I wanted to feel for the rest of my life. Although I couldn't remeber the rest of the sentence as I was saying it, and I ate a large pizza to myself, but whos complaining about that?
When i got old enough I started learning and realizing that this plant is unlike any other plant in the world, and the things that it can produce from hemp alone was mind blowing. The fact some of the cannabanoids could help people with there everyday lives was a reason I wanted to get into the business. I love to try new strains and new flavors and new experiences that always come with this culture of marijuana. Why do I wanna be in this business? Why wouldn't I wanna be in this business!?!
A lot of people roll over and hate hitting the alarm clock, I love waking up knowing that I get to learn & talk about weed all day. It's not a job when you love to do it.
First let me just say I'm bad at writing bios so bear with me. I've been in Washington for about a year now but I'm originally from Maine. I moved out here because I was getting into trouble in Maine and I wanted to see what the rest of the world has to offer. I really like it here so far the people are awesome and there's so much going on all the time. Also I love weed and it's legal here. When I'm not loving weed you can find me going way too fast on my longboard, climbing things, or spinning my lights at a festival. If you like really good weed and cool people you should come to our shop because we got both.
My name is Jessie. I have one dog peanut who is very much spoiled and two cats (one's a rescue: Campbell, and the other: Fat Tom). I love animals pretty much the most of all things. My hobbies are simple I like games of all kinds: old ones, new ones, board games, collectibles from games, you name it. It's not all about the buds, it's about growing as a business as a little work family, it's about teaching our customers about the products, getting to know our customers.
My name is Maili. I've been in this industry for over a year and I love it . I took an interest in cannabis at a very young age, and with time it has become a passion of mine. I take joy in making people happy and seeing them smile. A lot of my spare time is spent with family and friends, enjoying long walks and fluffy light green nugs. The rest is spent at home with my dog chasing squirrels and rabbits.
My name is Nick, I have been smoking marijuana for most of my life. I moved to the Olympia area in 2013 and fell in love with the area and people. I love to spend my free time outside riding my mountain bike, walking or hiking somewhere. I also fish and golf. I am having a great time finding all the great things Olympia has to offer.
I have been excited for this time in history since I was a teenager, the legalizing of marijuana. I am just starting out, and exited to learn as much as I can. I believe that the marijuana industry here in Washington is going to keep growing into something great for everyone who lives here.
So smoke a joint, get outside and smile!
My name is Patrick. I grew up in the Yelm/Rainier area and as such, cannabis has always been a part of my life. I've been in this industry for about a year, and there's nothing better. Most of my free time is spent with family and friends. I enjoy gaming, and being outdoors whether it's hiking, camping, rafting, or just kickin' it in a tree for a few hours. After receiving my cancer diagnosis I started taking a gram of Rick Simpson Oil a day and let me tell you, whatever opinions I had of marijuana before have only grown. It helped relieve nearly all of the side effects of chemotherapy, especially the ones the pills couldn't control. and for that I'll be forever grateful. Whether to ease the pain, or pass the time, marijuana is there for me. It is a passion of mine, and being in this industry is like a dream come true
After leaving the veterinary medical industry in 2008, I started working in a dispensary in Fresno of California's Central Valley. In July of 2009 I opened California Herbal Relief Center (CHRC). In 2012 we opened a 2nd location in Vallejo, CA, near San Francisco. After both cities made changes to their land use laws that either prohibited (Fresno) or severely restricted (Vallejo) dispensary operation, I decided to move to Washington. In August of 2016 I became a certified medical cannabis consultant in the state of Washington and joined the team at Marijuana Depot.
